Even before NMWA opened to the public in 1987, NMWA had already begun
establishing outreach committees to support the museum's goals. These committees meet important educational needs within their communities. They benefit many people, from schoolchildren just starting to explore the world of art to established artists seeking to expand their horizons. And they promote and provide resources for local artists, while supporting and publicizing NMWA's many programs.
Each committee has its own unique persona. Each sets its own goals; some
modest, some far-reaching. NMWA hopes that you and others in your region will join in bringing recognition to women in the arts and to the works with which they enrich the world.
