Helene Kottanner's Memoirs
Winner of the 2008 Library Fellows Award
This book, inspired by a rare medieval memoir, was written in 1450 by a handmaid to the Queen of Hungary. The story describes the death-defying adventures of two women to assure the crown for the Queen's infant son. This richly illustrated English translation of the memoir unfolds to a 325 inch accordion format.
